Celebrating the
250th Anniversary
of the First
Volga German Colonies
Saturday, 2 August 2014
Concordia University Bell Tower on the Campus Green
This year marks the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the first five German colonies along the Volga River in Russia: Anton, Beideck, Dobrinka, Galka, and Schilling. The Center for Volga German Studies at Concordia University is hosting a conference on the campus of Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, in celebration of these anniversaries! This conference will include sessions on each of these colonies, but will focus on Dobrinka, Galka, and Schilling because of the number of descendants from these colonies in Central Kansas and Oklahoma.

The public is invited to attend.

Early Registration is $25 (registration on or before July 25).
Onsite Registration is $30 (registration after July 25).
Child Registration is $15 (age 12 & younger, register any time).
